Ahoroa means "fresh water pouring out" or "a place of abundant life"

HISTORY

Ahoroa means "fresh water pouring out" or "a place of abundant life", this part of Northern Wellington was well known as a place where life flourished, the fresh water spring-fed at Ahoroa Estate created the conditions for abundance flora and fauna and the corresponding native life that follows the life giving properties of fresh water.

Our journey to Ahoroa Estate began when we moved to Wellington to start our business careers, this quickly became a start to our family!  Having grown up in provincial New Zealand we valued the outdoors, land with native bush and a level of self-sufficiency that the land and water provide.

Living in the City we both really wanted some land and space for our kids to enjoy a similar environment to what we grew up with, the traditional Kiwi childhood.

Living in Suburbia did not afford this opportunity to us, and we searched the Wellington Region for Lifestyle blocks within easy distance to our workplaces, schools, kids sports and activities, but with little success.

Two things happened that changed this, firstly Transmission Gully was finally completed and secondly we discovered and purchased this wonderful farm (Ahoroa Estate), with all the things we desired raising a family, we jumped at the chance to develop the farm into 13 Lifestyle blocks, so our dream could be shared with 12 other families.

We are pleased to now offer the rare opportunity to purchase a lifestyle block to like minded families who share in the dream of the quintessential kiwi lifestyle.

After lockdown's we were spurred into action to finish the project, realising that having your own space, food sources, gardens and animals is a great asset to any family living in our trouble plagued world today, this combined with the added security of a gated Estate and the community resilience of like minded families as neighbours.

Ahoroa Estate is now ready for you to create your own dream, that special once in a lifetime place, the place where family memories always remain.
